This research is entitled "Perceptions about the body in a group of cisgender women who practice prostitution in the city of Lima", whose main objective was to understand the perceptions about the body of cisgender women who practice prostitution in the city of Lima. The qualitative approach was used from a design of hermeneutic phenomenology and the instrument used was the semi-structured interview, which allowed to know in a deep way the perceptions on the body. For the results, were found: perceptions about the body in the course of life, perception about the body in the activity of prostitution and perception about the body in the field of sexuality. This shows that every cisgender woman who practices prostitution builds a particular perception about her body, generating emotions and behaviors towards her own body. Likewise, interaction with their environment affects the perception of their bodies, due to gender roles and social rejection of prostitution. Finally, we find a negative perception of the body with clients and a perception of well-being in their bodies with the sentimental partner.
