Resumen
El estudio etnobotánico se realizó en la comunidad nativa asháninca de Churingaveni durante julio y agosto de 2010, con el objetivo de identificar y caracterizar el uso de plantas medicinales. Se colectaron 33 muestras vegetales de 26 especies y 18 familias botánicas, siendo las más representativas Asteraceae, Commelinaceae y Araceae. Se registraron 21 dolencias tratadas con estas plantas, destacando males estomacales, males mágicos y males de vista. Las partes más utilizadas fueron fruto, tallo, hojas tiernas y raíces.
Abstract This ethnobotanical study was conducted in the native Asháninca community of Churingaveni during July and August 2010, aiming to identify and characterize the main uses of medicinal plants. A total of 33 plant samples were collected, distributed among 26 species and 18 botanical families, with Asteraceae, Commelinaceae, and Araceae being the most representative. Twenty-one ailments were recorded as the main uses of these medicinal plants, including stomach ailments, magical ailments, and eye ailments. The most used parts of the plants were fruits, stems, young leaves, and roots.
